Shrimp City Slim (under the name ‘The Battery Boys’) toured Colombia, South America in 1989
The second blues artist to visit that beautiful country (Clarence Gatemouth Brown was first, in the 1950s)
Nice article on the subject:

We played these venues: Cali - Festival del Arte (public park, two nights), Sala Beethoven, and a reception/party for benefactors. Manizales - Universidad de Caldas.
Muchísimas gracias à la familia Salinas/Cordova y Compañeros de las Américas.
Nice review (in French) of the Beautiful Swamp Blues Festival (Calais, 4/26/25). Thanks, Soul Bag Mag (photo: J-M Rock ‘n’ Blues).
NB: That’s old friend Dominique Floch on washboard. Dom bought that Sunnyland from me in 1993 at legendary juke joint Le Dyck in Dunkerque, when I was on tour with Big Boy Henry. Here we meet thirty-two years later. For my final number, Dom joined me for a rousing version of Big Boy’s « Holland Boogie ».
There is video of this song on YouTube, kindly posted by Pascal Lefebvre (see ‘Videos’ on this site).
To correct (the review): 1987 was Big Boy’s first Holland tour (for Leo Bruin, Swingmaster Records) NOT the year Dom and I first met. Merci.
